The 2017 – 2019 Foundation Board of Directors had their first meeting and elected the officers for the 2017 – 2018 year.  We are happy to announce the new officers are:  President – Joyce Levine; Vice-President, Scholarships – Bobbie Bresky; Vice-President, Development – Debbie Roberts; Secretary – Kaye Epps; and Treasurer – Janet Hill.  They are really working on some exciting plans for the coming year.

Our next activity is the joint FBFN Foundation and Fort Bend Friends and Neighbors Silent Auction and Fall Luncheon.  “Under the Tuscan Sun” will be held on October 19, 2017 at Safari Texas, Richmond TX.  Our Events Coordinators, Arleen Smith & Carole Kanusky along with Gloria Mikulenka and their committees have been hard at work.  The Silent Auction, including Marsha’s Bakery and Café is the major fundraising event of the year and the proceeds will fund the scholarships for next year.  Arleen and Carole are working on the Auction and Jacquie Sonkin and Joan Tyler are going to head up Marsha’s Bakery and Café.  Gloria will coordinate the Luncheon.  These ladies and their committees will be working hard in the coming months and would welcome all volunteers.

Be thinking about items that you would like to make, bake or buy to donate to the Auction or Bakery and Café.  Arleen Smith is hosting the August Coffee, so that would be a wonderful time to bring any donations to her house.  To volunteer or to make a donation to the Auction, contact Arleen at 713-501-3244 or Carole at 281-265-4084 and for the Bakery and Café, contact Jacquie at 1-585-329-9194 or Joan at 281-565-3627.  To help on the Luncheon Committee, contact Gloria at 832-244-6547.
