Scholarship Deadline Extended
Due to the school closures and the current uncertainty, the deadline for the FBFN Foundation Scholarships has been extended. Once more information is available, a new deadline will be determined and will be posted here.
Students who have a completed application, or one that is just missing transcripts, can mail it to FBFN Foundation, ATTN: Scholarship Chairman, P.O. Box 19008, Sugar Land TX 77496. If anything is missing, add a note explaining what you have done to obtain the missing items.
Scholarship Applications are Available
FBFN Foundation has awarded $230,500 in 15 years to 112 recipients. And the applications for 2020 are available now.
The FBFN Foundation Scholarships are for students: who are US citizens and Fort Bend County residents, who graduate from a Fort Bend County public high school and go to college at a campus in Fort Bend County. This would include Houston Community College – in Stafford or Missouri City, Wharton County Junior College – in Sugar Land or Richmond, Texas State Technical College – in Rosenberg, and the University of Houston – in Sugar Land.
The scholarship committee of the FBFN Foundation considers the applications on the basis of need, academics, activities, recommendations and the student’s personal letter. Perceived need is the first priority. All scholarships are contingent upon the qualifications of applicants and the availability of funds. Payment will be made in 2 installments directly to the institution. Applications are available from your high school College and Career Advisor, your college Financial Aid Office, or on the Scholarship Page of this website.
FBFN Foundation is devoted to giving back to Fort Bend County and its’ communities through the FBFN Foundation Scholarship Program. Since 2005, over $191,500 in scholarships has been awarded to local students planning to attend college at one of the Fort Bend County campuses of Wharton County Junior College, Houston Community College, Texas State Technical College, and University of Houston (Sugar Land).

What makes this scholarship program unique is that it provides assistance for students who are planning to attend college in our local area and need financial assistance to achieve this goal. To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must graduate or have graduated from a public high school in Fort Bend County, attend college as a full-time student at a campus in Fort Bend County and be a U.S. citizen.

Many types of volunteer opportunities are available from sharing your talents in fundraising activities to attending events. Members of the Fort Bend Friends and Neighbors social club actively support and are an integral part of FBFN Foundation.
